Bank Holiday Mixed Greensomes Results
Twenty-four couples competed on a warm and sunny Bank Holiday Monday with the heat tempered by a moderate breeze making for ideal playing conditions. The fairways were fast and firm due to the continuing dry spell and scoring conditions were good. As a result 3 couples were tied for second place with an excellent score of 41 points: Mel & Helen Palmer, John Yuill & Sara Reardon, and Lawrence Hastie & Di Parr with Lawrence & Di taking the runner up position on countback with a back 9 of 22 points.
The Trophies, however, were won by Nic and Mary Yates with a superb score of 43 points, well played both. Nic and Mary are pictured receiving the trophies from Men's Captain James Greenall and Lady Captain for August, Marcella Tuttle.
