On one of the wettest golfing days of the year, 58 Seniors took part in the annual Claret Jug Competition. In very tough conditions, unsurprisingly, low scoring was a challenge but Kevin Harrogate triumphed with 39pts. Unfortunately, Kevin wasn’t able to walk away with the Jug as he didn’t meet the entry criteria so congratulations to Colin Rouse who wins the Jug with his runner up score of 38pts.

After drying out and a heart-warming meal from Paul Price's team, the Seniors held their AGM when Tim Porte was voted in as the 2026 Seniors Captain.
The week also concluded the Seniors interclub competition season away at Rothley and 2025 Seniors Captain Andy Burton reported on a highly successful year with 14 victories.
We thank Andy for his captaincy in 2025 and wish Tim well in his quest to better that result next year.
