East Kent Evening League Jamboree
2025 Season
The East Kent Evening League season concluded with the jamboree at Faversham on Sunday 28th September.
96 players competed in the finale with all 12 clubs represented
It was a successful day all-round with Canterbury winning the main team event by a point from Sene valley with Faversham 5th of the 12 teams only 8 points behind.
The jamboree is a key part of the season and rotated yearly across the 12 teams and the two divisions, but with Faversham only in its 2nd year of the league it was an important day to promote the club.
Faversham joined the league in 2024 starting in division 2 and had a great introduction, getting to the semi-final of the cup and being promoted to division 1 at their first attempt.
The 2025 season has also been successful. The priority in the league this year was to cement their place in division 1 which they did on the last day away to Lydd. In addition, they also became the first team to win the knock-out cup played by all teams in the 2 leagues, being drawn away from home for every match! The team won at Canterbury and Lydd before beating Sene Valley over two legs, home and away in the final 5-3.
The Captain Richard Beer would like to thank all the squad for its continued support and understanding.
‘’With only a team of 8 required the rotation of players and pairs to maximise the team’s chances of success has been paramount in having a great season. The spirit and great attitude amongst the players have been key, and importantly having all your team-mates being flexible with selection makes the skippers job easier! Getting silverware has been great and having fun in achieving that has made it a great year “
