Winter sunrise over the 4th green
The early winter morning picture shows the 4th green and in the foreground the monument erected in memory of Robert Walter Stewart, 11th Lord of Blantyre, who died in the Brussels insurrection in 1830. Robert Walter Stewart was the maternal great grandfather of our club's founder, William Arthur Baird, who was brought up in Erskine House, formerly Erskine Hospital, and now Mar Hall Hotel.
