Winter Protection Mats
with effect from 1st December
From 1st December (and until 28th February), the use of fairway mats on our links is mandatory. Their use will now extend not only to all areas cut to fairway height or lower, but also to the two cuts of semi-rough.

Please see the recommended protocol for the usage of fairway mats .

To save any shortage of mats, we would encourage as many members as possible to invest in their own mat. As you will have seen from recent communication from the Pro’s shop, Rob is selling Spurk mats at an extremely competitive price. Please ask in the shop for more information.

In addition, all artificial mats in any designated teeing areas (particularly on holes 2, 3, 5, 9, and 12) must be used on the winter course. These mats are in place to protect tees that are highly susceptible to damage. It is therefore mandatory to play from the mat. Failure to do so will result in a penalty in strokeplay or loss of hole in matchplay.

It was disappointing on Saturday to see several divots appearing where they should not have. Please look after your course!

Thank you for your co-operation.
