New Year Message
John Redmond
Best wishes to all Members from the Board, and the staff for 2026. The primary focus of the Board, our excellent staff, and all the hard working committees for the coming year will be to continue to improve the course and practice facilities of the club to ensure its continued success in future.

New governance arrangements for the management of the club and a revised strategic plan to 2030 will be launched early in the new year. These new arrangements will ensure that the Club is managed in a structure matching the needs of the club now and into the future. For example designated roles for each of the Directors will ensure a focus on specific areas of the business. Project groups have already been formed to meet the needs of the Strategic Plan. An example of particular interest for all in the club is a revised plan for the irrigation of the course. A project group is already some way into identifying a revised irrigation scheme. Other areas to look out for is the continued growth in the ladies section and also the wider use of the halfway house facilities. Ongoing improvements will continue in the club house with some major works required in some areas such as the electrics.

There is much more work either in progress now or planned for the year ahead and regular updates will be provided by our General Manager, Phil.

We are all waiting for better weather. I can assure you on behalf of the Board that when it arrives the course and all the facilities will be in the best condition the resources of the Club can provide for another enjoyable year of golf - whatever your score says!
