Retirement of Bar Manager Carole Yardley
Celebrating Carole Yardley - 44 Years of Dedicated Service
Dear Members,
It is with both pride and genuine emotion that we announce the retirement of our Bar Manager, Carole Yardley, who will be stepping down this week after an extraordinary forty-four years of dedicated service to the Golf Club, making her our longest-serving member of staff.
Carole’s final working day will be Friday, 9 January, 2026 finishing at 6.00pm. Members are very welcome to drop by during the week to wish her well in person.
To mark this remarkable milestone, the Club will host a farewell celebration on Saturday, 10 January 2026 at 1.00pm, with tea, sandwiches, and cake and a few celebratory drinks. Committee members and staff will be in attendance, and we warmly invite all members, many of whom will have known Carole across generations, to join us in celebrating her exceptional contribution to the Club.
On behalf of the Management Committee and the entire membership, we would like to express our sincere gratitude to Carole for her unwavering loyalty, warmth, and professionalism over more than four decades. She has been a constant and reassuring presence behind the bar, serving generations of members and guests, becoming an integral part of the fabric of this Club. Her friendly face, dedication, and the countless memories she has helped create will be deeply missed.
We wish Carole a long, happy, and thoroughly well-deserved retirement.
