Final event of the Winter Series Shotgun Starts
The final Sunday morning shotgun start series of winter competitions was played earlier today in very damp conditions.
Considering the wet weather, scoring was surprisingly good. The winner of the Team Betterball event (two scores from four to count) was the team of Denis Le Couilliard, Mike Allo, Mark Warren and Jimmy Hughes with 87 stableford points. They amassed 46 points on the front nine and 41 on the back nine.
Runners-up was the team of Joe Fernandes, Chris Matthews, John Pendergast and Richard Summerfield with 86 points.
In third place were Andy Keites, Guy Gothard, Tim Herbert and Andy Falle with 82 points, pipping another team on count back.
