Greenkeepers are Keeping Busy!
Lovely Bit of Work
The greenkeeping team has been cracking on with some big Winter jobs over the last week.

A big job they've ticked off the list is extending the ditch on the 5th Badgers, before the approach to the green.

This area has previously been a high-traffic area, and with it being a low-point on the hole, it does get churned up during the Winter months.

The greenkeepers have dug out the existing ditch and extended it to the Penalty Area, which is down to the right side of the 5th green. A new path has been installed, allowing easy access to the approach to the green. The bunkers, which were on the right-hand side, have also been filled in. It's safe to say that once this area has recovered and is back in play, you don't want to lose your ball to the right side of the green!!

Whilst the greenkeepers were down there, they also tidied up the tee box on the 6th hole.

The sleepers at the front of the Yellow tee box were collapsing, which definitely let the aesthetics of the hole down. These sleepers have now been removed, and a bank has been created between the Yellow and Red tee boxes, which can be seen in the photos. Once this new bank has bedded in and been turfed, the tee boxes are going to be a lot more pleasing to the eye!
