The golfing season is fast approaching and we are preparing for the upcoming season. This year the team is being managed by Mark Chapman and Steve Terry.

The League is a competitive but friendly competition that see us play initially against five local clubs home and away over a ten week period. All the matches have been arranged and are showing in the club diary. Dates are at the bottom of this notice.

The matches are played on midweek nights first tee is generally at 4.00pm. The nights vary throughout the fixtures, with the first match taking place on Tuesday 28th April.

The format of each match is fourball betterball match play. Each team comprises of only 8 players 4 from the low handicap banding and 4 from the higher handicap band with one from each group making up a fourball team. The low banding having a WHS index of between 3.1 – 7.6 and the higher handicap banding being between 7.7 – 12.2.

The leading teams from our league then go through to a knockout phase against the leading teams from the other 5 leagues. The knock out phase is drawn upon completion of the league season and again played on a home and away basis.

A WhatsApp group will be used to keep all those interested in playing, informed on selection, pairings and results throughout the season.
