Stewart (playing handicap 11) and Christopher (20) went out in an impressive 30 blows and came back in a more impressive 28. The two of them dovetailed well but Christopher’s three gross birdies on 6, 10 and 17 which turned into three net eagles stole the show. Great play though from both of them.
In second place after countback was James Safely (18) and David Guthrie (19) with a 62 going out in 32 and back in 30. James and David had 8 net birdies and a net eagle between them. Third place goes to Alex Crossley (17) and Paul Chisholm (5) who also had 8 net birdies and a net eagle in their 62 but missed out on an higher back 9. Brilliant shooting all given the tough conditions.
Stewart and Christopher earn £27 sweep money each for their victory. James and David take away £16.20 each and Alex and Paul get £10.80 each.
Five players birdied the 15th hole. Congratulations to William Heeps, Craig Stevens, Stewart McKay, John Stewart and David Findlay who earn them and their partners £8.64 each.
Congratulations to all winners.
