Platten Trophy - Saturday 30th May
Congratulations to Anne and David
The Platten Trophy was donated by Penny Platten to celebrate the Monthly Mixed Foursome’s Competition in the Ladies Centenary Year.
A competition traditionally organised by the Ladies which over the years has been an important part of the Clubs Social Calendar.
This year 18 teams took part, and the weather could not have been more perfect.
The camaraderie between the competitors on and of the course was to be admired and such an important part of our Golf Club.
The Competition was closely fought and the winners with an enviable score of 42 points were Anne Amos and David Mills. In second place were Marissa Booth and Alex Reid with 39 points and 3rd place went to Janette Hetherton and Tony Jackson with 38 points.
The prizes were presented by David Mills our President except for the Trophy when our Vice Captain stepped in to present to Anne and David.
Many thanks to Janette and Tony for organising and encouraging such a Large field and to Mike Amos for the results.
