Club MATCHPLAY – Round Extension Notice
Due to the extreme weather conditions forecast for this week, the current Club MATCHPLAY knockout round has been extended until Wednesday 1st July.
The Met Office has issued a rare red weather warning for the rest of the week, with a red heat health alert across England indicating a risk to life even for healthy individuals. In light of this, no player should feel pressured to play in unsafe conditions.
Player Guidance
• You may still play your match if you wish — the choice is entirely yours.
• This extension does not change the closing date for the next round.
• To avoid further disruption, players are encouraged to complete matches as early as possible.
Your safety comes first. Please take care in the heat and plan your matches sensibly.
