Saturday 4 July 2026 will go down in club history after Murdo Morrison achieved every golfer's dream - a spectacular hole-in-one at the 9th hole during the Gents July Medal.
With the gallery (well, a couple of members waiting on the next tee) watching closely, Murdo struck what can only be described as a shot of rare beauty. Pretending to remain calm while internally planning how much the round in the clubhouse was about to cost him!!!
We are already investigating whether the achievement was the result of exceptional skill, favourable wind conditions, or Murdo accidentally discovering the correct way to play golf after years of scientific experimentation.
