Men's Team Waltz Results 107 men played in the Team Waltz competition yesterday. Congratulations to the team of Liam Maskell, Ryan Maskell, Shaun Maskell and Rob Pratt for winning the competition with 92 points. Graeme Chick, Chris Jenkinson, Kevin Holland and Andy Wallhead came second with 89 points. Darren Carter, Joe Froud, Jason Wickham and Willie Dunn came third with 87 points on countback. Course Care - Pitchmarks & Divots A quick reminder to all members to please help us look after the course by repairing pitchmarks on the greens and filling divots on our par 3 tees. We are regularly seeing a number of shallow pitchmarks left unrepaired, particularly towards the fronts of greens. These are often caused by lower-trajectory shots which pitch near the front before running through towards the middle or back of the green. By the time you reach your ball, it can be very easy to forget where it originally landed. Please try to make a habit of checking for and repairing your pitchmark as you walk onto the green, even if your ball has finished some distance away. If you spot another unrepaired pitchmark nearby, repairing that too is always greatly appreciated. We would also remind members that soil and seed divot boxes are provided on our par 3 tees. After playing your tee shot, please take a few moments to fill any divot you have made using the mixture provided. These small actions make a considerable difference to the presentation and recovery of the course, particularly when everyone plays their part. Thank you for your help. Balls Leaving the Course - Reporting Reminder We would also like to remind all members that any golf ball which leaves the boundaries of the course in the direction of a neighbouring property must be reported to the Club. If this happens during opening hours, please report it to the Pro Shop or Club Office as soon as possible, even if you are unsure whether the ball has caused any damage. If the Pro Shop and Office are closed, please telephone us the following day or send an email to let us know what has happened. When reporting an incident, it is particularly helpful if you can provide as much detail as possible about the circumstances, including where the shot was played from, the intended direction of the shot and whether the ball took any ricochet or deflection from trees or other objects before leaving the course. This information is important in helping us build a better understanding of how and why these incidents occur, rather than simply knowing where a ball ultimately left the course. This will assist the Club in identifying any patterns and considering appropriate measures to help mitigate the risk of similar incidents in the future. Thank you for your cooperation.
