Dear Members, Hawkstone Park is introducing a new WhatsApp Community to make it easier for you to communicate with the club and with each other. The aim is to make it easier to keep everyone informed with timely updates while reducing the number of messages that get lost in busy group chats. Within the Community, there can be separate groups for different areas of club life, allowing you to join only the groups that are relevant to you. You won't be bombarded with messages. The main Club Announcements group will be used for only important club information, while the other groups are there for members who want to take part in particular topics and conversations. You don’t receive notifications for Groups you do not join. Your Privacy Is Important! Your personal messages and calls in communities are protected with end-to-end encryption. No one outside the chat, not even WhatsApp, can read, listen to, or share them. To protect user privacy, your phone number is only visible to community admins, people who have saved your number in their contacts, or those who have your number from your other chats. WhatsApp allows members to mute notifications, and groups within a Community can be organised around specific topics. You'll be able to: • receive important club announcements • find out about social events • join conversations that interest you • receive reminders about forthcoming competitions and other activities • choose which groups you want to participate in • mute notifications if you don't want them • stay connected with what's happening around the club. Joining the Community is entirely optional, and it won't replace our existing methods of communication such as email, ClubV1, the website or noticeboards. It is simply another convenient way for members to keep up to date. We'll send out joining instructions shortly and we hope many of you will take advantage of this new way of staying connected with the club. We look forward to welcoming you to our new WhatsApp Community! Click Here to Learn More!
