Texas Scramble - The Do's & Don'ts
Texas Scramble is a fun team format where everyone contributes and works together to get the best score possible. It’s a great way to enjoy the course, support your teammates and make the most of those good shots! There are, however, a few important do’s and don’ts to remember to make sure everyone is playing fairly. Do’s • Ensure the number of drives per person are met, and clearly marked • Play the chosen ball as it lies, and do not reposition. • Before playing the shot, a tee peg should be used to mark the ball within 6”. • After the shot, the team mates must drop their ball from knee height within 6” of the tee peg. (Unless placing is in place with preferred lies). • Ignore the stroke indexes and par on the score card, they aren’t relevant. (unless it is the less common, stableford format). It is simply total gross score minus team handicap to give a nett score. Don’ts • Team mates may not stand behind any player when they are making a stroke on the putting green rule 23.8/1
